Hublot « Slam Dunk » with Miami HeatSchließen
January 20th 2011, Hublot join Basketball Hall of Fame coach Pat Riley at his home in Miami for a star studded charity evening with proceeds benefiting the Miami HEAT Charitable Fund.
As the threat of rain receded, the Miami Basketball glitterati joined a veritable list of family and friends at the home of Miami Heat coach Pat Riley. The two hundred strong guest list included the Miami Heat power trio of Chris Bosh, Lebron James and of course the magnificent Dwyane Wade who entertained the guests at this 10’000 dollar ticket event that culminated in a concert by five time grammy award winning singer and songwriter, Michael McDonald.
As official partner for the evening, Hublot were joined at their table by the New York Yankees baseball star Alex Rodriguez, Cameron Diaz together with Miami Heat owner and Chief Executive Officer of Carnival
Corporation, Micky Arison and his wife Madelaine. Hublot extended their commitment to community driven charities by partnering with The Miami Heat to raise money for the Miami Heat Charitable Fund whose beneficiaries include Jackson Memorial Children’s Hospital, SafeSpace and the Miami Coalition for a Safe and Drug-free Community.
After being invited to join Pat Riley on the stage constructed in the grounds of the fabulous Riley residence, Hublot CEO Jean-Claude Biver stole the show with a brief but animated address. Before returning to his table Mr. Biver presented Pat Riley with an engraved King Power Unico timepiece and a 38mm Black Magic Big Bang with a diamond bezel to Mrs Riley. After seeking the permission of Jean-Claude Biver, Pat Riley auctioned his watch to raise additional funds for the Heat Charitable Fund. As bids passed the 60’000 Dollar mark, the auction became silent and bids continued into the early hours passing 100’000 Dollars just before midnight.
Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of Hublot: “It is moments like this that make you appreciate the power that we have to share and benefit the future of our communities. Whether they be in Geneva, Paris, Frankfurt or Miami, our children are our future and tonight we have shown that through the generosity of others, the less fortunate will have a chance to shine. This was a very special evening for me personally and I am so happy that Hublot were able to join hands with Coach Riley and The Miami Heat.”
