A double celebration for Hublot in Switzerland!

Close

The brand is opening its 70th boutique. In Zurich, a fantastic symbol...  And announcing its latest ambassador: the highly popular Swiss midfielder and international, Xherdan Shaqiri.

On the same day, Hublot is launching its website dedicated to the World Cup. The address remains the same: Hublot.com, but it will include all the official watches for the event, the “Hublot Loves Football” campaign with the collection of artistic portraits of the ambassadors and footballing friends of the brand, behind-the-scenes, TV interviews with Jean-Claude Biver and Ricardo Guadalupe, and, of course, the daily World Cup diary with the wall of tweets sent from the Hôtel Hublot, all the info on the events taking place on site, a section dedicated to "king of football" Pelé and even the weather...

It is Hublot's 70th boutique worldwide. It is in Switzerland's largest

city, Zurich. It is in the city's most prestigious street, as are all the Hublot boutiques, the legendary Bahnhofstrasse. A fantastic symbol of the brand's ultra-dynamic expansion and growth throughout the world, which has been led with verve and vigour since 2007 (Hublot has been opening one boutique a month on average!) by Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot, and Jean-Claude Biver, Chairman who made the trip to join this occasion.

Zurich, Switzerland: the perfect occasion to announce that renowned Swiss international – the young and talented midfielder and national team player – Xherdan Shaqiri has chosen Hublot and is joining the large and prestigious family of footballing ambassadors and friends of the watch brand… He joins Brazilian living legend Pelé , Columbian striker Falcao , coaches José Mourinho, Roy Hodgson (England coach), Luiz Felipe Scolari (Brazil coach), the teams of Bayern Munich where Shaqiri now plays, Paris Saint-Germain , Juventus and Ajax , the Mexican Football Federation , international referee Howard Webb … The list is long, as merits the “ Hublot Loves Football ” campaign in the build-up to the World Cup, for which Hublot is the Official Timekeeper.

Zurich perfectly illustrates the new design layout of Hublot boutiques. Set over 70 square metres , the boutique reinterprets the concept of fusion with a combination of materials , including silver brushed oak and wool for the floors, upholstered panels of silky fabric to cover the walls, interspersed with details in black wood and chrome steel. A fusion of materials, and a fusion of styles too, with a contemporary reinterpretation of 16th-century mouldings. The display case lighting has been redesigned with beams of light to highlight the watches, movements and precious stones. As a whole, it creates a soft, warm ambience in shades of black and grey, complemented by contemporary furnishings, particularly the leather sofas, hand-made in Italy. The line of lighting accessories custom-made in Murano are works of art in themselves. To accentuate the display cases housing the showpieces, Hublot has commissioned silvered, broad, rounded panes of glass. Finally, the brand's key models have been reinterpreted on colourful Pop Art-style canvases .
