The All Black Experience in the World of Hublot

A decade ago, with its ALL BLACK collection, Hublot launched a brand-new and pioneering concept: “Invisible visibility,” a philosophy symbolising the very essence of the brand. A powerful, emblematic timepiece design whose transparent take on telling time propelled it to the rank of being an iconic object.

Ten years after the launch of the All Black concept, and to mark the anniversary of this now iconic and must-have trend, Hublot and Lucerne commemorate together this milestone with an outdoor Hublot exhibition at Greenbelt 5, and kicks it off with an All Black celebratory party. All clad in black attires, Hublot enthusiasts and loyal followers, as well as esteemed guests from media, were immersed into the world of Hublot timepieces dating back to 2006.

To mark the anniversary of the All Black Concept, Hublot is disrupting the natural order. It uses transparency to foster a new connection between the visible and invisible. It embodies the dichotomy of the visible and invisible. The exterior of the Big Bang watch is now invisible, so that the construction and movement of the timepiece are fully observable and transparent. Through a fusion of materials, textures and finishing, Hublot has used the Big Bang Unico Sapphire All Black to reinterpret its iconic 2006 Big Bang All Black. More so, it does not absorb light and in fact, it allows for light to pass through. This 2016 novelty, Big Bang Unico Sapphire All Black, is limited to 500 pieces only. It will make its first appearance in the Philippines through the anniversary All Black Party held on November 4.

“Hublot keeps tradition and innovation — The Art of Fusion — at the core of the aesthetic and mechanical design of each timepiece”, says Loic Biver, General Manager of Hublot in Greater China, during his speech and on introducing Hublot’s campaign video this year.

The Big Bang All Black’s paradoxical property of “Visible Invisibility” was highlighted at the celebration through a laser light show and music led by Jessica Connelly and DJ Bruder. Guests enjoyed overflowing drinks along with a black-themed cocktail during the event. Emcee Bianca Valerio kept the excitement of the night going, with the easy tune and tempo of Jessica Connelly and electrifying mixes of DJ Bruder that brought the house down.

Open to the public from November 4th – 13th, visitors are welcome to discover an exclusive exhibition of the iconic All Black timepieces since its first introduction in 2006, from the first Hublot Big Bang All black model to the 2016 Hublot Big Bang Unico Sapphire All Black anniversary timepiece, introduced during this year’s Baselworld fair.

Today, Hublot remains to be a pioneering figure in this monochrome all black style. The manufacture respects tradition whilst also making a mark in the watchmaking industry with its revolutionary panache.
