Another European stop for the “Hublot Loves Football” World Tour, in football-mad Italy in the heart of the historic city of Milan - supported by the Milan city authorities - with a unique football tournament organized at night in the Piazza degli Affari.

This is a first for this historical square, which is also home to the Italian stock-exchange, as it is turned into a fully-fledged football pitch for the occasion; a private area hosting 250 VIPs and clients within a huge custom-designed metal cage will be the arena for the contest, with a SKY Sports commentator providing play-by-play commentary and anecdotes, with a large screen projecting  the highlights and the most important goals in the history of the FIFA World Cup™ for which Hublot is the exclusive Official Timekeeper and Official Watch .

No one will escape the merciless whistle of  Andrea Tardini, a member of the Italian Referees Association. 8 teams will take part in the tournament, with each match lasting 10-minutes. VIPs and editors from the major

Italian newspaper will take to the pitch. Hublot will customize the jerseys with the national colours of the most important teams taking part in the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™, emblazoning them with the names of the players, as befitting any team worthy of its name. Guests invited to take part in this fun and unique event, will receive an invitation inspired by a stadium ticket.

This day marks the Italian debut of Hublot’s “Official Watch” of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ – the BIG BANG Unico Bi-Retrograde Chronograph. It is the first Hublot timepiece ever produced with a bi-retrograde function along with a central chronograph. This mechanical movement, completely customised for football fans, allows the watch to be used to time each half of a match and can even track overtime!  This is another example of the brand’s love for and support of the sport, and demonstrates how this even drives innovation.
