Japan Exclusive "Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph Titanium Blue Carbon" Unveiled!

Tokyo - The Swiss luxury watchmaker Hublot hosted a charity event together with Masahiro Tanaka, New York Yankees Major League Baseball player and first Japanese Hublot ambassador. Children from the Tokyo metropolitan area took part in this event and participated in the target challenge with the Baseball star player. In addition, the exclusive “Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph Titanium Blue Carbon” designed in collaboration with Mr Tanaka was officially launched.

For the opening of the event, Tanaka embraced the holiday spirit and appeared as Santa Claus to offer Christmas gifts to the children in the attendance. All of them were so excited for this unique surprise!
Masahiro Tanaka then asked the children to follow him in order to experience some warm-up exercises and listen to his pitching advice, followed by playing catch. Children then took part in a target challenge, where every time the ball hit the panel, a part of a hidden picture was revealed. With Tanaka’s support and advices, and after a total of 19 hits, which represents Tanaka’s team number, all panels unveiled the watch. In addition to the launch event, Hublot announced a donation of 1.51 million JPN, in accordance with Tanaka’s 151 wins in the NPB (Nippon Professional Baseball) and in the US Major Baseball League.

Following the event, a glove and spikes autographed by Masahiro Tanaka were displayed at the Hublot Pop-up Boutique Omotesando. These 2 items will also be sold during a Charity Auction. Hublot’s pop-up store will be opened till December 26. For details on the Charity Auction, see our Facebook page(

The combined sum of the charity event and the auction of various signed items from Masahiro Tanaka will be donated to “TOHOKU SMILE PROJECT” association. This charity project is led by Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles (Japanese’s professional baseball team) for the construction of sports facilities to foster the mental and physical health of children.

Masahiro Tanaka, Hublot Friend of the Brand, shared: “I really enjoyed this event and spending time with the cheerful children. I would like to continue charity events for children’s future with Hublot. And I’m also happy and proud to unveil the Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph Titanium Blue Carbon Hublot timepiece. I had the chance to be able to participate to the design of the product, and it was an amazing project!”.
