Zermatt Unplugged on Hublot time!

Categories: News & Events
“Big Bang moment” for James Blunt and Charlie Winston, who were presented with timepieces from the brand’s iconic collection.

Hublot loves art and the world of music: back in 2010, Hublot teamed up with Depeche Mode for a charity concert at London's Royal Albert Hall. Then in 2014, Hublot and Depeche Mode decided to work together again, to create an exclusive series of 250 watches: the Big Bang Depeche Mode. This year, the superstar Chinese pianist Lang Lang has been announced as a new brand ambassador.

With strong existing ties to the Zermatt resort (Hublot is already a partner of the Tourism Office), Hublot is proud this year for the first time to be a partner of the Zermatt Unplugged festival, hold from 14 to 18 April 2015 at the Swiss resort.

Hublot is committed to paying tribute to art in all its forms, including musical art. So Zermatt Unplugged was for the Swiss watchmaking brand yet another opportunity to show this attachment to music. It is the Swiss festival which brings together various spheres of music at the same venue, all in the same uniquely Valais ambiance, in the middle of the Swiss mountains. International artists such as James Blunt, Charlie Winston, Anastacia, Travis, Patricia Kaas and many others have performed on the festival stage, alongside new talents seeking recognition from the public and their peers. Hence those artists who have already gained international renown could support the rising stars, and advise them on how to introduce their music to the wider public.

"We are very proud to having taken part in Zermatt Unplugged, which has hosted world renowned artists this year. This event can be a real springboard for young talents to make a name for themselves on the international music scene. It is important for Hublot to maintain this link with music in all its forms, as well as with the young talents who simply need a little help to become the big stars of tomorrow," commented Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot.

Every day new talents have performed on the 6 stages set throughout the village and the skiing area, from midday to midnight. So Zermatt Unplugged was the ideal event to warm up after a good day's skiing in the Swiss Alps!
