Hublot introduces its first watch made in partnership with reigning Premier League champions Chelsea Football Club

Hublot and Chelsea FC today teamed up to launch the first watch made to celebrate the dynamic partnership between the world-famous Swiss watchmaker and the current Premier League champions. The watch will be limited to just 200 pieces.

The official presentation of the Hublot Classic Fusion Chronograph Chelsea took place at the club’s Surrey training base in the presence of Ricardo Guadaplue CEO of Hublot, Christian Purslow, Managing Director of Chelsea FC and Chelsea players Nemanja Matic, Cesc Fàbregas, Eden Hazard, Pedro and Bertrand Traoré. To mark this special event, guests took part in a football challenge - headed up by 5 players, teams participated in a football shooting competition with the chance to win tickets to the Manchester City game as well as a private tour of the stadium.

Hublot and Chelsea announced a partnership in August 2015 on the first day of the 2015-16 Premier League season. Hublot now has a strong presence at the club’s Stamford Bridge ground, on LED score display screens and pitch-side banners, and through clocks displayed in key areas around the site.

The Hublot Classic Fusion Chronograph is the first watch made in partnership between Hublot and Chelsea and will be limited to only 200 fine timepieces. It features a 45mm satin-finished and polished titanium case and bezel, and is powered by calibre HUB1143, an automatic chronograph movement that provides the watch with twin counters at 3 and 9 o’clock, a date window at 6 o’clock and a 42-hour power reserve. The decorated movement can be seen through the watch’s sapphire case back. The Chelsea lion logo is situated at 12’o clock and also on the crystal from the case back, so that the Chelsea lion is truly close to the heart of the wearer as it literally touches the pulse.

The dial is blue, inspired by Chelsea colours, and has a sunray satin finish and a hand-applied Chelsea FC Lion appliqué at 12 o’clock. The watch is water-resistant to 50 metres (5ATM) and comes on a black leather strap with a blue rubber lining and trim, with a stainless steel deployant buckle clasp.

With the launch of this new timepiece, Hublot once again underlines its deep connections with sport and, in this case, with football, as stated in the campaign “Hublot loves Football”. And it is doing so with Chelsea FC, one of the most prestigious clubs in the world.
