The action-packed final, which marked England’s first World Cup win, was timed on Hublot time. Congratulations England on your victory!

Cricket is already one of the world’s most popular sports, with more than 300 million global participants. Champions 2019

Hublot has been extremely proud to work with the International Cricket Council (ICC) and to serve as the Official Timekeeper and Official Watch of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019. In line with its “First, Different, Unique” philosophy, Hublot was the first watch brand to enter cricket and is the “Official Timekeeper” and “Official Watch” of the ICC.

Yesterday’s final demonstrated what an exciting game cricket is. England’s dramatic win, which came after the scores were tied and a ‘Super Over’ showdown, will have inspired a new generation of cricket fans and players.

New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first, registering 241 for 8 from their 50 overs. In reply, England levelled the scores on the last ball of their innings, triggering a Super Over. England went first and notched up 15 runs, a figure New Zealand could only match. The scores were tied twice, but England were declared the winners on boundaries scored (26 to New Zealand's 17) during regulation play.Cricket is one of the world’s most popular sports. The ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 attracted an estimated global audience of more than one billion. Last year, the ICC published a research project that revealed that more than 300 million people participate in the sport worldwide.

“I would also like to place on record our thanks to Hublot ambassador and former Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke for all his support during the tournament. And thanks also to Hublot friends of the brand and former England cricket captains Michael Vaughan and Kevin Pietersen for representing the Hublot story so well from first ball to last. Congratulations to them all for doing such a great job in commentary, bringing the story to life for millions of fans around the world. And finally, thank you to India’s Rohit Sharma and Australia’s Pat Cummins, also friends of the brand, who represented their countries with such distinction on their runs to the semi-finals.”

One of the icons of this year’s tournament was the Hublot Clock, which was on display at The Oval cricket ground until mid-June and then at Lord’s for the final. It will remain at the ground until July 17.

Also playing a starring role was the Hublot Classic Fusion Chronograph ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 watch, the second cricket watch created by the Swiss watch company. The cricket-inspired, 45mm titanium watch is powered by a skeletonised automatic chronograph calibre and limited to 100 pieces.

Hublot congratulates the ICC, the victors England and each of the 10 teams who made the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 so memorable. We look forward to the next edition in India in 2023. Hublot loves cricket!
