Power Boat Racing in the heart of Moscow.

Moscow, June 19, 2016 – Hublot has supported for the second time the “Hublot Boat Trophy” that has taken place at the Moscow River Imperial Yacht Club. This competition has marked the opening of the yachting season of the Burevestnik Group.

Hublot Boat Trophy is a unique nautical festival, that has brought together 17 yachts on the waters of the Moscow River. The winner of the Hublot Boat Trophy is Captain Fyodor Lukash, on his Cobalt 222 boat. The main prize, the Hublot Classic Fusion Opaline, was presented to the winner by Benoit Lecigne, Hublot Brand Director Eastern Europe.

Hublot has always supported yachting sport through very prestigious partnerships such as the famous Monaco Oceanographic Museum and its Institute, the glamorous Marina of Porto Cervo in Sardinia, the Real Club Nautiko de Palma de Majorca and others. Moscow regatta Hublot Boat Trophy is being held for the second time together with the Burevestnik Group holding, the biggest player on the Russian yachting market. A respectful nod to the great traditions combined with a firm focus on the future: this manifesto clearly reflects the “Art of Fusion” philosophy of Hublot.

Hublot connects one more time with Moscow River Imperial Yacht Club, the oldest yacht club in Moscow founded in 1867 and supported by the Russian Yachting Federation in order to launch a beautiful sports tradition in Moscow, to support a rapidly growing interest in yachting sports in Russia. Powerboat Racing & Quest Performance combines the adrenaline of high-speed racing and the gambling spirit of card games. This implies the use of traditional race timing and quest competitions. Before the start, the teams got sailing instructions and a coded route map. They had to decode the route and follow it observing vessel traffic regulations in the waters of the Moscow River and solve logic puzzles.

Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot, commented “Hublot has always been close to the world of sailing and the sea, firstly through its very name ("Hublot" means "porthole") and the shape of its watches, but also through prestigious partnerships with museums or marinas. So, what could be more fitting than to support this amazing power boat competition in Moscow’s heart? Water, speed, sport, sportsmanship and fantastic entertainment.... all the values shared by Hublot».
