Inspired by Jeff Koons’ iconic mirrored balloon sculptures, the Classic Fusion Balloon Dog translates the emotional language of inflatables into watchmaking. Rather than placing an artwork onto a watch, Hublot re-engineered the architecture of the Classic Fusion itself, reshaping its traditionally sleek profile into a composition of inflated geometries, convex lines and soft domed surfaces. The result is immediate, expressive and technically sophisticated. Key signature : Inflated DetailsEvery element of the 42 mm case was rethought through Jeff Koons’ visual language. The crown takes the form of a balloon’s inflation valve in rubber-molded aluminum. At 10:30, a flexible decorative balloon tail extends the illusion. The seconds hand carries a Balloon Dog-shaped counterweight in bas-relief, while the indexes and hands are treated with three-dimensional Super-LumiNova. Even the oscillating weight adopts fuller, rounded forms.
