SUPPLY CHAIN POLICY FOR DIAMONDS, COLORED GEMS AND GOLD

This policy affirms HUBLOT S.A.'s dedication to upholding human rights, preventing involvement in conflict financing, and adhering to all international sanctions, United Nations resolutions, and relevant laws.

Diamonds

  • Respect human rights in accordance with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Labour Organization's Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work
  • Neither practice nor tolerate corruption, money laundering or the financing of terrorism
  • Advocate for transparent payments to governments and endorse security forces in the mining industry that uphold human rights standards
  • Do not provide direct or indirect support to illegally armed groups
  • Allow stakeholders to express their grievances regarding the jewelry supply chain


We are also committed to exerting our influence to prevent violations by others, by applying the five-step framework of the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains. In addition, HUBLOT is committed to respecting the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

  • Torture or cruel, inhumane or degrading treatment
  • Forced or compulsory labor
  • Child labor in accordance with our human rights policy below
  • Violations and abuses of human rights
  • War crimes, violations of international humanitarian law, crimes against humanity or genocide.

We only buy or sell diamonds that fully comply with the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme. As such, we will not tolerate any direct or indirect support of non-state armed groups, which refers in particular to the sourcing of diamonds, the making of payments or the provision of logistical or material assistance to or for non-state armed groups or their affiliates who:

  • Illegally control mining sites or transport routes, diamond trading points and upstream actors in the supply chain; and/or
  • Illegally tax or extort money or diamonds from mining sites, transport routes or diamond trading points, including by targeting intermediaries, exporting companies and international traders


We will immediately cease all relationships with suppliers where we establish a reasonable risk that they are committing the offenses stated in paragraphs 2 or 3 above.

We affirm that the role of public or private security forces is to ensure the security of employees, facilities, equipment and property in accordance with the rule of law, including safeguarding human rights. We will not provide direct or indirect support to public or private security forces that engage in the offenses referred to in paragraph 3 or those acting illegally.

We will not offer, promote or give bribes. We will not respond to solicitations for bribes to conceal or disguise the origin of minerals, or to misrepresent taxes, duties and royalties paid to governments for mining, trading, processing, transporting and exporting minerals.

We will support initiatives or implement measures to contribute to the elimination of money laundering in cases where we identify a significant risk of money laundering resulting from or related to the mining, trading, processing, transportation or export of minerals.
