The dial, inspired by Tang-dynasty artistry, depicts a high-spirited, flower-dappled horse outlined in gold, its main caught in motion. The dial combines hand-laid carbon marquetry with 3N gold-plated brass appliqués forming a horse motif. Every carbon fragment is cut, aligned and assembled by hand, demonstrating total control over one of the most demanding materials in modern watchmaking. The 3-dimensional gold lines, inspired by the embroidery of ancient Chinese ceremonial robes, give the horse a powerful presence. The 42 mm tonneau-shaped case is crafted in matte black carbon.
