Our watches are exposed daily to various magnetic fields. Depending on their intensity, these fields may put your watch out of order. Magnetic fields can stick the coils together, and as a consequence, the watch could slow down, accelerate, and even stop. Despite all the care brought by Watch-making brands, repeated or very long contacts with a strong magnetic field may affect your time-piece. Leaving every night one's watch on a loudspeaker or an alarm clock could for instance magnetize your watch. Therefore, whenever possible, rather steer clear of these fields.

MAGNETISM

The constituent parts of your Hublot watch are all of the finest quality, and inspected under extremely stringent criteria. They combine to form a piece with exceptional water resistance, with certain models capable of reaching a depth of 4000 meters. To preserve these qualities, we recommend a complete  checkup every 3 to 5 years, as temperature variations, humidity and repeated shocks can affect the seal.
With its watertight case and its rubber strap, or gold, carbon, steel or ceramic bracelet, your Hublot is perfectly washable.
If you have an alligator strap, you are advised to avoid bathing with it. Clean it regularly in warm soapy water, rinse it and wipe it with a soft cloth.
After bathing in the sea, rinse your Hublot watch in fresh water.

WATCH WITH WATERPROOFNESS RECENTLY CHECKED

The pieces making up your Hublot form an exceptionally watertight ensemble that can resist a depth of 4000 meters. To preserve these qualities, we recommend a complete  checkup every 3 to 5 years, as temperature variations, humidity and repeated shocks can affect the seal.

If you have an alligator strap, you are advised to avoid bathing with it. Clean it regularly in tepid soapy water, rinse it and wipe it with a soft cloth.
After bathing in the sea, rinse your Hublot watch in fresh water.

When you carry out this operation, make sure that the calendar
changes date at midnight and not at noon.

2. Now turn the crown in either direction to place the hour and minute hands at the desired time.
3. Push the crown home against the case and the watch will resume working.
For models with a screwed crown, don’t forget to screw the crown back all the way to ensure a good seal.

SETTING THE TIME

Our Tourbillon and Extra Thin manually wound watches generally have 4 or 5 days of power reserve. Some fifty turns of the crown are needed to wind them manually.

NORMAL CROWN TOURBILLON

Automatic winding

This term means that your watch refills with energy automatically from your arm movements when you wear it on your wrist. If your watch has not been worn for some time and has stopped, it will need to be rewound manually by turning the crown clockwise ten or so times.

For models with a screwed crown, remember to screw down the crown completely to ensure a good seal.

WINDING A NON SCREW-DOWN CROWN WATCH

This type of crown provides excellent protection to guarantee the watertightness of the case and is found on diving watches guaranteed water resistant beyond a depth of 300 m. From time to time check that the crown is properly screwed down.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. Unscrew the crown
2. Push the crown against the case while screwing it back. From time to time check that the crown is properly screwed down.

For the Big Bang model, the crown is not screwed because this watch comes with the latest technology with a double protection seal ensuring water resistance down to 100 m.

WINDING A SCREW-DOWN CROWN WATCH

This function allows you to set your watch’s date rapidly without affecting the time using only the crown.
It is strongly recommended not to carry out this correction
between 8 pm and 1 am, when the calendar disk is engaged, as the operation could damage the mechanism.

1. Pull the crown out to position 2.
2. Turn the crown clockwise (or counterclockwise depending on model) until the date shows in the aperture.
3. Push the crown home against the case.

RAPID DATE CHANGE

Ceramic is a scratchproof material which can nevertheless be marked. To return it to its pristine look, our Manufacture or boutiques can supply you with a slightly abrasive rubber, which will allow you to carry out your own maintenance.

Cut the abrasive rubber disk in two. Rub the ceramic using the flat side, and the marks will disappear as if by magic. Clean the treated surface with a soft cloth, such as Hublot's microfibre selvyt.

Attention, this rubber is not suitable for treating gloss polished ceramic.
