ESSENTIAL VOLUME FIVE: HUBLOT INTRODUCES THE SPIRIT OF BIG BANG ESSENTIAL TAUPE

May 12th, 2026 – Hublot continues to shape its Essential narrative with the launch of the Spirit of Big Bang Essential Taupe, the fifth chapter in a series that has become a defining annual rendezvous for collectors worldwide. Conceived around a singular vision: one color, one design, once a year, released exclusively online. The Essential collection has established a rhythm as precise as it is anticipated. For the first time in the history of the Spirit of Big Bang, the 32 mm is presented in a diamond-free execution, reinforcing the Essential spirit in its purest form. This latest edition marks the second exploration of taupe, further expanding Hublot’s monochrome universe of refined, timeless neutrals. Like all Essential editions, it is both the first and the last of its kind. This new release is limited to 200 pieces each.

Since 2022, each Essential release has followed the same rhythm. One after the other, building a collection that is as consistent as it is complete. For collectors, it’s a moment anticipated, a drop awaited. It started with the Big Bang Unico Essential Grey, followed by the Spirit of Big Bang Essential Grey, then the Classic Fusion Essential Grey. The story continued with a new color: taupe. Alongside essential grey, essential taupe extends Hublot’s monochrome palette of timeless neutrals. After the Classic Fusion Essential Taupe in 2025, 2026 marks the launch of the Spirit of Big Bang Essential Taupe. The Essential monochrome series continues to build, now reaching Volume V.

Crafted in the signature Spirit of Big Bang tonneau case, both models play with tone-on-tone taupe across the dial and straps. Each piece comes with two interchangeable straps, rubber and Velcro, designed to switch styles in one click. All in. Built in. The 42 mm version, crafted in satin-finished and polished lightweight titanium, features a new carbon-stamped dial achieved through an interplay of polished and satin-brushed finishes. It weaves a checkerboard of alternating satin-finished and polished squares, with a reworked 3D effect. A design that echoes the Spirit of Big Bang Coal Blue unveiled in January in Milan during LVMH Watch Week.

Powered by the HUB4700 self-winding skeleton chronograph movement, it delivers a 50-hour power reserve. The 32 mm version, in satin-finished and polished stainless steel, features a sunray taupe dial and is powered by the HUB1120 self-winding movement with up to 40 hours of power reserve. While smaller and sleeker, this is the first 32mm Spirit of Big Bang with a diamond-free execution, making it even more minimal and true to the Essential spirit.
